Tinie Tempah brings RAPS fried chicken to the John Lewis rooftop

The latest celeb to get into the food game is rapper Tinie Tempah. While you may immediately think "it's going to be something to do with tempeh, isn't it?" it is, in fact, a new fried chicken venture called RAPS (we see what he did there).

It's in two parts - delivery and a pop-up at the John Lewis rooftop space Willows on The Roof. He's teamed up with chef Big Has for it (Has was previously at Sardine and Palatino and has had various supperclubs and pop-ups) and here's what's on the menu:

  • Unruly - deep-fried jerk marinated corn fed chicken, plantain, jerk bbq sauce and lime mayo slaw

  • African Giant - buttermilk fried chicken, jollof salsa, plantain, lettuce, tomato and mayo

  • Buffalo Soulja - buttermilk fried chicken, buffalo sauce, blue cheese, house pickles, lettuce and tomato

There's also a vegan "JME" wrap, "Unknown T’s Buttermilk Brined Tenders" and "Peng Wings".

As well as the rooftop pop-up, they'll be delivering to (deep breath) Shoreditch, Hackney, Finsbury Park, Dalston, Brixton, Peckham, Dulwich, Bermondsey, Camberwell, Vauxhall, Herne Hill, Elephant & Castle, Queen’s Park, Kilburn, North Kensington and Willesden. So there's a big stretch of areas there. And in time they'll be delivering nationwide kits too.
